Job Overview As a sales associate you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a customer‑focused organization. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers, recognizing their needs, and articulating our products and services in an educational and professional manner. Responsibilities Customer Service – Proactively engage and connect with customers, ask questions, listen to their needs, and direct them to merchandise while informing about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card benefits. Organization – Maintain store appearance and ensure an inviting environment. Sales – Cross‑sell products and understand store layout; suggest latest trends and current promotions based on individual needs. Upsell products, learn features, keep up with trends, and use company tools and technology to provide accurate product knowledge. Point‑of‑Sale – Process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, and debit cards; handle cash, count money, and return accurate amounts. Inventory – Manage merchandise, complete all inventory processes, verify accurate ticketing, and participate in periodic inventories. Dependability – Follow assigned work schedule, complete work assignments accurately, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Product Knowledge – Basic knowledge of products and merchandise. Experience – Retail experience preferred but not required. Communication – Strong interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents and communicate effectively via telephone. Mathematical – Basic arithmetic functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Reasoning – Ability to multitask, remain attentive to customers, adapt to business needs, work collaboratively, and take initiative independently. Physical Demands and Work Environment This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. It may occasionally include stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. Work is typically indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location. Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. No experience required.
