Registered Nurse Allergy Outpatient

Position Overview Outpatient Allergy – Registered Nurse II/III, Non-Acute. 32‑hour days, 32 weekly hours. Salary determined by years of nursing experience. Division of Allergy and Immunology focuses on asthma and other allergic conditions in children. Key Qualifications At least 2 years RN experience. Higher acuity/emergency management skills (ICU or acute care). Willingness to travel to locations such as Burnet, Eastgate, Crestview Hills, Union, Liberty, Mason, Green. Comfortable working with multiple providers and part of a team. Ambitious, seeking growth, committee involvement or leadership roles; RNII or RNIII. Team player, initiates, positive attitude. Comfortable with office tasks and foundational care coordination. Ability to learn new technology. Active Ohio RN license (other state licensure may be required). Associate/Diploma RN with 2+ years experience; must enroll in BSN or MSN if not already within 1 year of hire and graduate within 5 years. Job Responsibilities Compliance: maintain regulatory standards, support leadership, monitor safety, fulfill certifications, share best practices, comply with CMS standards. Interprofessional practice: integrate IPM in all aspects of care. Clinical inquiry & performance review: follow standards, implement research-based practices, identify changing patient situations, use self and peer review, support learning, share safety best practices. Systems thinking: understand organizational components, support family, communicate safety concerns. Patient care: age‑specific and culturally inclusive, use protocols, document care, anticipate needs, collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in shared governance. Clinical judgment: collect data, follow algorithms, make decisions, document plan, use teach‑back, anticipate needs, incorporate culture. Advocacy: assess values, address ethical conflicts, advocate for patient, ensure inclusion. Location & Schedule Primary location: C. Schedule: full time. Shift: day. FTE: 0.8 (32 hours per week).
