Job TitleAbout the RoleTo support U.S Urology Partners by assisting the research department with patient care needs and treatment appointments.What You'll Be DoingCommunication with patients weekly on status of approval for treatmentsAssists with the coordination of procedures and medical clearance for treatments and communicates the scheduling with the patientsChart preparation and educational preparation as neededMaintains inventory of medical suppliesPhone Triage:Answers phones, forward call to appropriate nurse or physicianSchedule f/u appointments for patients within the research departmentDocumentation of phone calls with patients and outcomeSupports with complex papers and reports and helps in preparation of research grant proposalsAttends required meetingsParticipates in professional development activitiesInitiates and willingly accepts special projects as neededMaintains strictest confidentialityPerforms other duties as assignedWhat We Expect from YouOne year of medical experience in a medical practice settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of healthcare insurance verification and pre-authorization processClinical administration skillsElectronic Medical Records ExperienceKnowledge of medical billing or willingness to learnReasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
