Job Description

Cook Ford is seeking a motivated Automotive Lube Technician to join our fast-paced service team. This is a foundational role where you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance services that keep our customers' vehicles safe and reliable.

We aren't just looking for someone to change oil; we are looking for a future Lead Technician. We provide the environment, the equipment, and the Ford factory training necessary to help you grow from a Lube Tech into a specialized Service Technician.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Rotating Saturdays
• No Sundays

Pay

$18 - $21 per hour

Work Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Required).
• Ability to commute to Texas City, TX.
• Applicants must be able to provide their own basic tools
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Services: Perform high-quality oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services.
• Safety Inspections: Execute thorough multi-point inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake wear.
• Tire Services: Perform tire rotations, balancing, and basic repairs.
• Documentation: Accurately record all services performed and document any additional vehicle needs for the Service Advisor.
• Shop Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with dealership safety protocols.
• Efficiency: Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an express lube or automotive shop is needed.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and hand tools.
• Applicants must be able to provide their own basic tools.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the Ford brand.
• Reliability and a commitment to punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
