Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist/Certified Respiratory Therapist

Overview Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a 14‑week full‑time night shift assignment in Suffolk, VA. The assignment requires 7 pm‑7 am nights. Pay is $70.00 per hour for RRTs and $66.00 per hour for CRTs. This is a travel position, thus no benefits are provided during the assignment. Responsibilities The Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon overall pulmonary management, identifying and implementing physician‑directed respiratory care interventions for individual patients or groups. Working cooperatively with nursing and other health care team members, the therapist provides professional respiratory care practice for patients ranging from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings. Responsibilities include appropriate age‑specific assessment and treatment of patients. The therapist may access or oversee protected health information (PHI) during role duties. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Active State license (Virginia), NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification, and Basic Life Support certification For new graduates: must have State license and BLS at hire and obtain NBRC RRT within six months Experience One year of clinical respiratory care experience (preferred).
