Process Operator, 2nd/3rd Shift, No Experience Required, Paid Training

Job Description

A Cleveland processing plant is hiring a process operator and trains from scratch. No prior operator experience is needed: some of the plant's best operators came from completely different kinds of work.

The work: running production batches by following batch sheets, flows and diagrams, and making sound decisions on your own when the process needs attention. It is careful, safety-focused work, and the plant takes the time to teach it properly: a 90-day training period on day shift, and about a year to know the whole job.

The schedule: training is on day shift, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. After training, the role moves to second shift (3:30 pm to midnight) or third shift (11:30 pm to 8:00 am), mostly third shift. Please apply only if you can work third shift.

What they look for: reliability, showing up on time every shift, intermediate math and comfort with a calculator, and the ability to take in a lot of information. Experience with chemicals, safety data sheets or batch sheets is helpful, not required. A short aptitude test, including math, is part of the hiring process.

Pay: $23 to $25 per hour to start, with overtime when the plant is busy. Direct hire.
