Earthwork Project Manager - Northern Virginia

$100,000-$150,000

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee earthwork, grading, and site development projects . This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in mass excavation, site balancing, and civil construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage earthwork and site development projects from preconstruction through completion
Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement
Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
Track project costs, production, change orders, and overall project performance
Review plans, specifications, and grading plans
Interface with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
Strong background in earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development
Experience with public works or infrastructure projects is a plus
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Experience with project management and cost tracking software preferred
