A leading international law firm is seeking a transactional tax attorney with 4–7 years of experience to join its Washington, D.C. office. This role offers the opportunity to advise sponsors, developers, and investors on sophisticated tax credit transactions, including project development, tax equity transactions, and tax credit transfers. Candidates with relevant experience from either a law firm or Big Four accounting firm will be considered. Responsibilities: Advise sponsors, developers, and investors on the tax aspects of project development and financing transactions. Counsel clients on tax equity transactions involving renewable energy and other tax credit projects. Advise on tax credit transfer transactions and related structuring considerations. Analyze and advise on complex federal tax issues arising in transactional matters. Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary legal teams to structure efficient and commercially viable transactions. Support sophisticated projects from initial structuring through negotiation and closing. Qualifications: 4–7 years of relevant transactional tax experience. Experience advising on tax credit matters, including tax equity transactions and/or tax credit transfers. Experience advising sponsors, developers, and investors on the tax aspects of project development. Law firm or equivalent Big Four accounting firm experience will be considered. Exceptional academic credentials preferred. Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a sophisticated, collaborative, and client-focused environment. Opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value tax credit and project development transactions.
