The Field Technician plays a crucial role within a small team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This position involves performing heavy duty repairs and diagnostics while ensuring safety compliance. The role requires periodic travel to regional sites as well as frequent travel within the local area. The technician is expected to work standard hours, and may be scheduled for shift work including nights, weekends, and on-call emergency support.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy duty repairs and diagnostics on various equipment
- Ensure strict adherence to safety compliance protocols
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance tasks
- Diagnose equipment issues accurately and efficiently
- Travel to regional and local sites as required
- Provide on-call and emergency support during shift work
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in field service
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in preventive maintenance
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety compliance regulations
- Effective time management abilities
- Problem solving skills for heavy diagnostics
