Associate General Counsel

Responsibilities (This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote) The UHS Corporate Legal Department is hiring an Associate General Counsel - Operations to identify and analyze legal issues. Draft key documents, reviews and prepare contracts. This role will alos present clear recommendations assuring legal compliance for all levels of executive staff and facilities. Key Responsibilities include: Provide legal research and analysis concerning health care operations including contracting, regulatory issues, corporate governance and compliance Draft, review and/or prepare contracts or other legal documents, including vendor and provider contracts Provide advice and counsel to company officers and executives in connection with facility operations, fraud and abuse matters, transactional matters and corporate governance matters Assist providing support for company service reconfigurations and mergers and acquisitions Qualifications Law degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience as an attorney in a healthcare related field and admitted into the Pennsylvania state bar. Expertise in federal and state healthcare laws and regulations including, but not limited to HIPAA and the Stark and Anti-kickback statutes Experience with legal healthcare operations support to the acute care, ambulatory and behavioral health divisions, including but not limited to health plan operations, clinically integrated networks and accountable care organizations Possess excellent organization and interpersonal skills Maintains ability to manage and respond to multiple priorities in a fast paced environment Occasional travel may be required Benefits This opportunity provides a rewarding career, challenging and rewarding work environment as well as growth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiaries, including competitive compensation, excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan, and 401k with company match.
