PREP COOK (FULL TIME)

Position Prep Cook – Full Time Location and Schedule White Pine County School District, 1135 Avenue C, Ely, NV 89301. Days may vary, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Online applications accepted only. Qualifications Previous prep cook experience in an educational setting preferred. Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Florida Level 2 background screening may be required for certain positions. Salary and Benefits Fixed Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available. Responsibilities Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef. Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes. Complete daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; taste completed meals to ensure quality. Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use. Store, label, and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines. Complete required documentation, reports, and logs as required. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time. Serve customers efficiently and friendly. Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations. Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Resolve customer concerns. Perform other duties as assigned.
