JOB DESCRIPTION
A leading concrete construction company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their on-site operations team supporting the equipment repair shop on an active industrial size construction site. This is a full-time, direct placement opportunity with long-term growth potential and annual raise opportunities. The is primarily field-based, working directly at job sites alongside a coordinator who handles parts and logistics.
The mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a range of equipment but primarily focused on semi-trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, and looking for a long-term opportunity. This position offers consistent overtime, adding up to a range of 45-65+ hours a week.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5-15 years of hands-on mechanic experience (compensation scales with experience)
Strong background in mechanical diagnostics and repair (not just oil changes—must have turned wrenches)
Experience working on semi-trucks (Peterbilt ideally)
Willingness to work 12-hour days, Monday through Saturday (overtime available)
Must have own tools (tool allowance provided)
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience using diagnosing tool (Matco Tools or Snap-On)
Knowledge of DEF systems
Mobile Mechanic experience
Experience with rental companies like United Rentals, Sunstate, EquipmentShare, or Sunbelt
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Familiarity with DOT regulations
