Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
Active Maine Physical Therapist license is required to start the assignment.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Experience providing physical therapy services in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is required. This includes evaluations, establishment of therapeutic plans of care, and treatment per department protocols.
Demonstrated ability to perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures under physician or licensed practitioner orders, including setting short- and long-term goals.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in high-stress situations.
Client requests therapists who can work within a skilled nursing/long-term care rehabilitation program and partner with nursing staff to maximize patient functional independence. This is a required staffing preference from the client.
Preferred: prior experience with d'Youville-style skilled nursing populations or familiarity with long-term care rehab documentation systems. Preferred items are not required.
