About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week (3x12s) Experience: Recent experience with EPIC required License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Recent EPIC experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates delivery of services. Employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward achieving patient outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in delivering care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
