Hematology/Oncology Physician

Work Dates Needed: ASAP-December 2026
Preferred Schedule: Tuesday-Tuesday
Worksite Setting: OP and IP
Scope of Work: New consults, rounding
Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine-Hem/Onc, active KY license, IMLC ok, BLS/ACLS, DEA.
EMR: EPIC
Call varies also, they don't get called back into the hospital, usually just phone calls to answer questions or concerns
New consults per week for Hem and Onc patients will be between 15 and 20 depending on the referral volumes
There will be hospital rounding with a midlevel to assist
If an admit is necessary then yes they will be, our patients usually go through the ER and get admitted from there if needed. Not many direct admits from the office.
Volume of patients per day will also fluctuate, it could be anywhere from 15-22 patients- f/u's and new patients

We would like them to participate, come to Tumor Board, only present if they need to
We have a blood bank
BMBX are done by IR
Chemotherapy is administered in our infusion dept by RN's with a team of pharmacists embedded in the center.
