Production SupervisorThe Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of high-quality products. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production personnel, monitor production processes, resolve issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive a safety-first culture while optimizing productivity and overall output of the site. The Production Supervisor will ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of teamwork and operational excellence.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:Plan and schedule production activities based on customer requirements, equipment availability, and resource allocationCoordinate with cross-functional teams, such as maintenance, quality, and logistics, to ensure smooth production flow and adherence to production schedulesMonitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to minimize downtime and maximize efficiencyLead a team of production personnel, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their safety, productivity, engagement, and professional growthManage and maintain timekeeping system, ensuring accurate recording of employee attendance, hours work and leave request.Conduct performance reviews providing constructive feedback, setting goals, and identifying areas of improvementAdminister corrective actions in accordance with company policies and proceduresFoster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvementMonitor and enforce adherence to quality procedures and standards throughout the production processConduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality requirementsAddress any quality issues or non-conformities, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain product quality and customer satisfactionContinuously analyze production processes and systems to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings (ex. new technologies, equipment upgrades, or automation to enhance productivity and quality)Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to optimize production flow, minimize waste, and improve overall efficiency (5S, RCA, Problem Solving, etc.)Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe work environment for all employees including progressive discipline issuance when requiredConduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risksInvestigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, implementing preventive measures to prevent future occurrencesActively participate in safety meetings and activities like one-on-one employee discussions, audits, JSA development, safety training, etc. to drive safety ownership and accountability throughout siteMaintain accurate production records, including production reports, downtime logs, and other relevant documentationPrepare and present production reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics, areas of improvement, and action plansCollaborate with the leadership team and other stakeholders to develop and monitor production budgets and cost control measuresCandidate Requirements:Relevant experience in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment preferred and/or bachelor's degreeThree to five years' experience in a production supervisory role in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality proceduresExcellent leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and develop a diverse production teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvementsSolid understanding of safety regulations, compliance actions, and best practices in a manufacturing environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organizationStrong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks to meet production goalsKnowledge of production management software and systemsProficient in computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook (email) and other systems necessary to be effective in role
