This work is our passion and our responsibility: our mission is to make businesses more productive and people's lives more fulfilling.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical) to lead sustaining and continuous improvement initiatives in our state-of-the-art robotics manufacturing facility. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize production processes, implement lean manufacturing strategies, and drive innovation in robotic assembly.About the WorkAuthor and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, BOMs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and tool/fixture/equipment specifications to support production and service operations.Develop and maintain subject matter expertise to diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues, supporting root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for manufacturing nonconformances.Lead sustaining engineering efforts by owning the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECRs & ECOs) affecting product design, BOMs, and drawings across active product lines.Develop and execute design updates to improve manufacturability, reduce cost, and resolve production issues, working cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and supply chain teams.Create and revise 2D/3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings to reflect approved design changes using tools such as Creo, or equivalent.Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to validate design changes, material substitutions, and process improvements.Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, drive improvements in capacity, quality, cost, and safety, and implement lean manufacturing solutions.Monitor, control, and optimize production processes using statistical process control tools.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.Design and implement tools and fixtures to improve ergonomics, productivity, and quality.Support and optimize periodic maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime.About YouBachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.5+ years of relevant experience in a commercial, product-driven manufacturing environment supporting a production line (robotics, automotive, aerospace, medical, or similar preferred).Hands-on experience with manufacturing assembly and testing of electro-mechanical systems; DC motors, actuators and/or sensors a plus.Strong data analysis skills with experience in statistical methods.Lean Six Sigma training and practical experience.Engineering Change Order (ECO) experience within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Windchill experience a plus.Mechanical design experience in CAD required, CREO experience a major plus.Experience with ERP and MES software to manage inventory and production processes.Experience developing and implementing manufacturing equipment in production environments (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ) a major plus.Proven ability to mentor and lead engineers and technicians effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Ability to drive initiatives independently and within teams.Bonus PointsPCBA, Electrical design, testing, debugging, and validation experience.Proficiency in Python and Linux, and/or C languages.Benefits401(k) Plan: Includes a 6% company match.Equity: Company stock options.Insurance Coverage: 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance for employees.Benefit Start Date: Eligible for benefits on your first day of employment.Well-Being Support: Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Time Off: Exempt Employees: Flexible, unlimited PTO and 10 company holidays, including a winter shutdown.Non-Exempt Employees: 10 vacation days, paid sick leave, and 10 company holidays, including a winter shutdown, annually.On-Site Perks: Catered lunches four times a week and a variety of healthy snacks and refreshments at our Salem and Pittsburgh locations.Parental Leave: Generous paid parental leave programs.Work Environment: A culture that supports flexible work arrangements.Growth Opportunities: Professional development and tuition reimbursement programs.Relocation Assistance: Provided for eligible roles.Agility Robotics is committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
