Procurement Specialist

Randstad in partnership with Vanguard are actively seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist. The SSS serves as the entry point into ESM for all buying requests, responding to

inquiries, and ensuring the most compliant buying channel is used. What started as a ‘test and learn’ pilot has evolved to become a key capability in ESM. This cross functional team understands procurement broadly, and helps ensure our buying channels are optimized, getting the right transaction to the right channel. This role is ideal for someone who is focused on optimizing the client experience, is focused on transactional excellence, and is innovative and influential to evolve the way we procure goods and services from third parties.

Responsibilities:

• Owns pipeline of medium complexity sourcing engagements over $250k for assigned category.
• Supports Category Leads on high complexity engagements and assists them with requisition and purchase order creation from time to time.
• Establishes effective negotiation plans and guides internal clients through contracting process.
• Partners with Category Leads to establish sourcing execution plans through but not limited to competitive bids, evaluation agreements, supplier consolidation and co-terming.
• Effectively partners with other Category Teams, Supplier Management, Vendor Management Offices, Internal Clients, and TPRM as needed.
• Engages with business requestor to identify requirements and formulate them into specific competitive bid documentation.
• Ownership of end-to-end competitive bidding process.
• Ensures the application of fair business practices of procuring Goods/Services.
• Continually examines ways to raise standards and improve process and procedures while improving the overall performance of ESM.

Qualifications:

• Effectively managing a strategic book of business which includes engagement types, including (but not limited to), RFx, SOW’s, HSO’s, renewals and new deals
• Supports mid and senior level category leads on key deals
• Leads by example with promoting best practices and process efficiencies
