Our client is seeking a

Financial Analyst

to support the U.S. Army’s Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives. The right candidate will have 1+ year of accounting or finance experience, exposure to financial systems or reconciliations, and the ability to operate in a client-facing consulting environment. This role requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to work a hybrid work schedule onsite at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Desired Skills & Experience: US Citizen Active DoD Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; 1+ year of accounting or finance experience (federal or commercial; internships accepted); Experience with general ledgers, financial statements, reconciliations, or audit support Understanding of financial systems and data validation processes Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, Power Platform, or similar technologies processes

Key Responsibilities: Support Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) or Fund Balance with Treasury (FBwT) work streams Support financial reporting, audit response, and remediation activities Perform reconciliations, data validation, and financial analysis Analyze financial datasets to improve accuracy and audit readiness Coordinate with government stakeholders to meet audit requirements Assist in preparing audit artifacts and supporting documentation Contribute to process improvements across financial operations
