Job Description

Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist conducts advanced computed tomography procedures, producing detailed cross-sectional and 3D images for diagnosis and assisting with interventional therapies. This role involves patient preparation, contrast administration, and image quality assurance to support accurate medical evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex CT imaging procedures using Siemens equipment and advanced PACS systems.
• Review patient clinical histories, verify prescriptions, and communicate with physicians to ensure appropriate exams.
• Prepare patients through appropriate positioning, shielding, and immobilization techniques, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer contrast media following licensed practitioner directives and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Provide detailed explanations and address patient questions to facilitate understanding and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, obtain outside studies, and ensure images and reports are properly stored and accessible.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Hold NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License and ARRT R.T.(R) certification.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, radiologic positioning, and CT hardware/software.
• Maintain CEU credits and achieve ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months post-hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within three months of employment.
