Project Engineer - Renewable Energy / Electrical ConstructionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing Renewable Energy team. This position supports the successful planning and execution of commercial and renewable electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Working alongside Project Managers, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and customers, the Project Engineer will help coordinate project documentation, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, and field activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in electrical construction and renewable energy.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination of electrical and renewable energy construction projects.Assist with project startup, planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and project correspondence.Assist with material and equipment procurement, including coordination with vendors and suppliers.Track long-lead electrical equipment and help maintain procurement schedules.Support project cost tracking, forecasting, billing, and change-order management.Coordinate with field supervisors to resolve design, material, and constructability issues.Participate in project meetings with customers, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal project teams.Assist with QA/QC documentation, commissioning coordination, punch lists, and project closeout.Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.1+ years of experience in construction, electrical contracting, engineering, or project coordination preferred.Experience with commercial electrical construction, renewable energy, solar, battery storage, or EV infrastructure is a plus.Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working with both field and office teams.Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, or similar platforms is beneficial.Ideal BackgroundCandidates coming from electrical subcontractors, renewable energy contractors, commercial construction companies, EPC contractors, or electrical engineering firms would be well suited for this opportunity.BenefitsOUR TRAINING PROGRAMSCost estimating utilizing the latest software from AccubidLighting design, photometry, and Title 24 compliancePower distribution and system architectureBasic procurementField installation techniquesPre-fabrication design and implementationOur benefitsMedical, dental, and vision careProfit sharing/Company matching 401k ProgramPaid vacation/sick leaveFully paid life insurance policy
