Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse Nights Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager or Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. The Orthopedic unit is a 34-bed surgical specialty unit focused on the care of patients undergoing operative and non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions. The role involves providing post-operative care, pain management, neurovascular assessments, and early mobilization protocols, with close collaboration among healthcare team members.

Job Details

• Required: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or in a compact state by the day of clinical care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include administering patient care under physician direction, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, prioritizing care based on patient needs, documenting treatments and responses, and ensuring a safe hospital environment.
• The role requires developing relationships with patients and families, assessing discharge needs, and maintaining competency in all required skills through annual assessments.
• Additional responsibilities include promoting clinical and operational excellence through education and adherence to policies.
