Job Title: RME Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II

Job Description

This temporary Maintenance Technician II role focuses on supporting an operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced building environment. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the operations maintenance team by performing mechanical maintenance on material handling equipment throughout the building.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging equipment used in high-volume distribution operations.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated distribution equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
• Inspect and troubleshoot pneumatic systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic systems to extend equipment life and improve reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective corrective actions to restore equipment to safe operating condition.
• Use appropriate tools, parts, and documentation to complete maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintenance standards while working on mechanical and robotic systems.
• Collaborate with other technicians and operations staff to prioritize and complete maintenance work in a timely manner.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs to support ongoing equipment performance tracking.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing material handling equipment.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging equipment.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated distribution equipment.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic systems and components.
• Skill in troubleshooting mechanical and pneumatic issues using a systematic approach.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.
• Capability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team in a fast-paced setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MRT 10 qualification or equivalent technical credential related to mechanical or robotics maintenance.
• Familiarity with robotics or automated systems used in packaging and distribution environments.
• Experience working with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Comfort working around automated and moving equipment in a large facility.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large, fast-paced building that uses automated packaging and distribution equipment, material handling systems, and pneumatic components. You will work on and around mechanical and robotic systems, using standard maintenance tools and equipment. The environment involves working near moving machinery and conveyors, and you may spend extended periods on your feet while performing inspections, repairs, and installations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shreveport, LA.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.50/hr.
