Landscape Construction CDL-A Driver

Our client is seeking a reliable CDL‑A Driver to ensure the safe and timely delivery of landscape construction equipment and materials to designated job sites. This role is based in Sterling Heights, MI. Responsibilities Drive company trucks to job sites, client properties, and vendor locations to safely pick up and deliver materials and equipment. Prepare inventory slips for all deliveries and maintain accurate truck logs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Plan efficient pick‑up and delivery routes to support daily production schedules, maintaining clear communication with Project Managers and Production Support Specialists. Perform daily inspections of the truck, equipment, and supplies, including checking tires, brakes, fluids, and all loaded materials. Verify all materials and quantities against work orders prior to transport to ensure load accuracy and compliance with legal weight limits. Assist crews with final project clean‑up, and assume responsibility for completing the final job site clean‑up to company standards when crews are no longer on site. Maintain an organized yard and manage material inventory in collaboration with the Field Operations Manager. Requirements Minimum of one year of accident‑free truck driving experience with familiarity navigating the Metro Detroit area. Must possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Must possess a current CDL‑A with air brake endorsement. High school diploma or GED preferred. Working knowledge of general automotive mechanics and the ability to perform minor emergency roadside repairs (e.g., changing tires or replacing bulbs). Skilled in operating skid loaders, tracked loaders, front‑end loaders, excavators, and standard hand tools. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds, stand, crouch, and navigate a variety of outdoor weather conditions.
