Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is seeking an experienced and compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) to join a dedicated team in Louisville, Kentucky .

This role is perfect for a skilled dialysis nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive and educational environment for patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.

Job specification

Provide specialized nursing care for patients receiving peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatment.
Educate patients and their families on PD procedures, infection control, and home dialysis management .
Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly.
Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive care approach .
Perform and document patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) .
Train and support patients in managing self-care dialysis treatments at home .
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations , as well as infection control standards .
Provide emergency interventions as needed in response to patient conditions.
Maintain and troubleshoot peritoneal dialysis equipment to ensure safe and effective treatments.

Candidate requirements

Active and unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.

Minimum of 1 year of dialysis nursing experience , preferably in peritoneal dialysis.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred .

CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

Strong patient education and communication skills to support home-based dialysis patients.

Ability to work independently and provide patient-centered care .

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems .
