Accountant

Overview AL&S Accounting, a prominent and steadily growing firm, is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join our finance department. The position is onsite to foster collaboration with our teamwork‑driven staff. Responsibilities Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash‑flow statements. Collaborate with the accounting team to consolidate accounts and ensure consistent financial reporting. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, monitoring timely payments and receivables. Execute detailed reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy. Administer payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in pay distribution, tax withholdings, and report filings. Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process to comply with internal and external regulations. Implement and comply with financial policies and regulations. Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities. Ensure the company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements of financial and tax reporting. Provide insights and expectations to senior executives to aid in long‑term and short‑term decision making. Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing. Qualifications Proven work experience as an Accountant or a similar role in financial bookkeeping. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.). Understanding of data analysis and forecasting; comfortable working with numbers and paying attention to detail. Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant), preferred. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with accounting databases. Ability to strategize and solve problems, with strong leadership and organizational skills. Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations. Aware of business trends and adept at decision‑making with numbers. Experience in performing financial audits and ensuring compliance with legal rules and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering long‑term relationships with internal and external teams and clients.
