We have an opening for a Class A Driver for our Driver Development Program in Owensboro, KY, and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder. New CDL Class A Graduates: Zero Experience required to qualify.

Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Weekly Minimum Guarantee During Training: $1075
• Weekly Minimum Guarantee After Training: $1415
• CDL License is Required
• Company Paid Scale Bypass

Tractors: Manual and Automatic Day Cab

• Trailer Type: 53' Dry Van Trailer
• Freight Type: Auto Parts
• Touch/ No Touch Freight: No Touch
• Deliver To: OH, TN, IN, MO, KY

Requirements

• 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
• Ability to:
• Follow written and/or oral instructions
• Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
• Perform other duties as assigned
