Project Accountant Construction
Plano, TX (On-site)
We are hiring a Project Accountant for a well established commercial general contractor in the DFW area.
This is a hands on, trade partner facing role. You will own progress billing, cost tracking, and the financial administration that keeps active projects moving, working side by side with project managers and subcontractors.
What you will do:
- Prepare and process AIA G702/G703 progress billing and pay applications
- Manage lien waivers and subcontractor compliance
- Handle AP/AR invoices and payment coordination with trade partners
- Track project budgets, costs, commitments, and billings
- Prepare monthly cost reports and perform account reconciliations
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, vendors, and trade partners
What we are looking for:
- 6+ years of combined construction and accounting experience
- 2+ years of project accounting experience
- Hands on AIA billing, G702/G703, and lien waiver experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Construction ERP experience Required (SAGE, CMIC, ETC.)
- Degree or Relevant experience
