Exercise Physiologist

Mission Hospital – Full Time Exercise Physiologist Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday – 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Job Summary The Exercise Physiologist will provide cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation services to patients in a tertiary care setting. This full‑time position requires a combination of educational credentials, certifications, and hands‑on experience to deliver evidence‑based exercise programs. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related health discipline with ACSM certification. Required certifications: ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional. Master’s degree in clinical exercise science with the same certification is sufficient if the candidate already holds the required degree. Preferred Education Master’s degree in Exercise Science with ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional certification. Required License ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional for Bachelor’s holders; Graduate level requires the same certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred License Same certifications as “Required” but for Master’s degree holders. BLS certification. Required Experience 300 hours or more of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation program experience. Preferred Experience 2000 hours of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation program experience. Additional Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Bachelor’s Degree. Exercise Specialist/Physiologist or AACVRP-CCRP Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date. No Travel Required.
