Job Description

The Master Electrician Program Manager performs complex electrical installation, tooling hookups, power distribution connections, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities in a large T1 semiconductor facility. This role ensures all electrical work complies with NEC standards, NFPA 70E requirements, HSE policies, and LOTO/ZEV procedures. The position requires working independently on both energized and de-energized electrical systems, accurately documenting work performed, and supporting startup and commissioning activities while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect electrical power systems for new tooling and equipment within a large semiconductor facility.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning support for electrical systems and tooling.
• Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energized electrical work procedures in strict accordance with safety standards and site policies.
• Work safely with electrical systems at 600 volts or higher, following all applicable codes and requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with site safety requirements, HSE policies, and reporting processes, including NFPA 70E and NEC standards.
• Support completion of punch lists and prepare accurate commissioning documentation for new and modified electrical installations.
• Document all electrical work performed, including installation details, test results, and commissioning records.
• Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and commissioning personnel to support startup activities and resolve electrical issues.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality in all aspects of electrical installation, repair, and commissioning work.
• Provide supervisory oversight and guidance on electrical tasks as needed, leveraging journeyman-level expertise.

Essential Skills

• Master journeyman electrician qualification with proven industrial or construction experience.
• Extensive experience performing electrical installation, tooling hookups, and power distribution connections.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, test, and commission complex electrical systems in an industrial or semiconductor environment.
• Hands-on experience working safely with electrical systems at 600 volts or higher.
• Strong understanding and practical application of NEC standards and NFPA 70E requirements.
• Proficiency in executing LOTO and energized electrical work procedures.
• Ability to work independently on energized and de-energized electrical tasks while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Supervisory skills to oversee and coordinate electrical work activities.
• Capability to accurately document electrical work, test results, and commissioning activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a semiconductor facility, including familiarity with large-scale industrial environments.
• Experience with SAS Taylor is a plus.
• Industrial electrical construction and repair experience.
• Comfort working with commissioning teams and supporting startup activities.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and site standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Contractor must provide their own hand tools, RMS meters, and PPE.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large semiconductor facility exceeding 2 million square feet, with extensive walking on hard cement floors throughout the workday. The environment includes industrial areas and occasional access to clean rooms, requiring adherence to strict safety, cleanliness, and operational protocols. Work involves exposure to high-voltage electrical systems and advanced tooling, with a strong emphasis on compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, HSE, and LOTO/ZEV procedures. Contractors are expected to bring and use their own hand tools, RMS meters, and appropriate personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, TX.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
