Sales Assistant / Sales Coordinator - Apparel

About the Role

Stitch Fusion Apparel Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant / Sales Coordinator to support our growing sales team in New York.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience in the apparel industry, understands the basics of wholesale sales and order management, and wants to build a long-term career in apparel sales.

You will work closely with our Sales, Design, Production, Shipping, and Management teams to support customer accounts, track orders, manage samples and ATS opportunities, and help ensure smooth communication between customers and internal teams.

This is not purely an administrative position. We are looking for someone proactive, organized, commercially minded, and interested in developing into a stronger sales or account management role over time.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with day-to-day customer and account management
• Assist with buyer inquiries, follow-ups, pricing, samples, order status, and delivery updates
• Prepare and maintain ATS / RTS inventory reports and present relevant stock opportunities to the sales team
• Track purchase orders, quantities, pricing, delivery dates, samples, and shipping status
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Shipping, and Warehouse teams to ensure customer requirements are properly followed
• Assist with line sheets, sales presentations, market preparation, and customer meetings
• Organize samples and maintain accurate sample records
• Help prepare costing, sales reports, order summaries, and account-related information
• Communicate professionally with buyers, buyer assistants, and internal teams
• Follow up proactively on outstanding issues and help resolve problems before they affect the customer
• Maintain accurate customer and order information in internal systems
• Support senior sales executives with existing accounts while gradually developing stronger account-management skills

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in apparel, fashion, wholesale, sales support, account coordination, or a related field preferred
• Understanding of apparel wholesale processes, including PO, costing, samples, ATS, RTS, shipping, and order tracking preferred
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data organization is a plus
• Experience with A2000 or another apparel ERP system is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable handling multiple accounts, orders, and priorities at the same time
• Able to work independently and follow up proactively
• Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency
• Interest in fashion, apparel products, and the U.S. retail market
• Experience supporting accounts such as TJX, Ross, Burlington, Walmart, Costco, or other off-price / mass-market retailers is a plus, but not required

We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn and grow. You do not need to bring an existing book of business, but you should be interested in understanding buyers, products, pricing, and how an apparel business operates.

For the right candidate, this role can develop into an Account Executive or Sales Executive position as you gain experience and take on more responsibility.

Pay: $55k-$75k

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Thursday in office, Friday work from home
