Cardiology Physician Assistant

A healthcare facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to provide inpatient cardiology consult coverage on a locum tenens basis. This role offers weekend-focused coverage for patients on the cardiology consult service in a solo practice environment. About the Opportunity: Shift: Day shift Schedule: Friday through Monday, approximately 2-3 times per month Hours: Friday: 10 hours; Saturday: 11 hours; Sunday: 11 hours; Monday: 8 hours Setting: Inpatient hospital Responsibilities: Provide inpatient cardiology consultation coverage Manage an anticipated patient volume of approximately 12 to 24 patients Work independently with limited additional support staff Support weekend coverage blocks for the cardiology consult service Deliver care in a primarily solo practice model with occasional additional APP coverage Qualifications: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner credential Board certified or board eligible Experience providing inpatient cardiology consult services Ability to manage approximately 12 to 24 patients Ability to work independently in a solo coverage setting Desired Skills: Experience with Epic EMR Cardiology experience
