Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, BLS, NRP (AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred) Must-Have: - Experience in Labor and Delivery - Familiarity with patient care for neonates and adults - Weekend coverage every other week Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. The candidate will work in a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit. The unit follows inpatient rooming with all infants rooming in with their mothers. Newborn nursery care will be utilized when required. Basic patient care and support will be provided to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The nurse will assist with various procedures, such as vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. The role requires effective communication using SBAR. A strong emphasis is placed on family-centered care and breastfeeding support. The nurse must be competent in electronic fetal monitoring and triage of obstetrical patients.
