Electrical Design Engineer Department: Construction, Engineering, & Skilled Trades Employment Type: Full Time Location: Florida Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000 / year Description Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer (Building Systems, MEP Consulting) Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida (Onsite, fixed location) Employment Type: W2 Compensation: $80,000–$110,000 base salary (negotiable for strong candidates; may exceed range for Professional Engineers) Schedule: Flexible hours; deadline-driven consulting environment Travel: None specified About the opportunity: An established MEP consulting engineering team is hiring an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to support building systems design from concept through construction. Responsibilities Electrical design production Design power, lighting, security, and low-voltage systems for buildings Prepare electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents Calculations and layout Perform electrical load calculations and system layouts Support multi-floor building designs with consistent layouts Coordination and construction support Coordinate designs with mechanical and plumbing disciplines Review shop drawings and provide construction-phase support Qualifications Required qualifications 4 or more years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment Hands-on building electrical design experience Proficiency in AutoCAD (skills may be evaluated) Knowledge of applicable electrical and building codes Preferred qualifications Revit experience strongly preferred Professional Engineer license or Engineer in Training is a plus and may impact compensation Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred Benefits Medical, dental, vision 401(k) with 2.5% match Short-term and long-term disability options 100% employer-paid employee-only health insurance Paid Time Off program by tenure (vacation at offer may be negotiable) Ideal candidate profile True MEP consulting electrical designer or engineer who owns drawing output Comfortable in a deadline-driven environment and cross-discipline coordination #J-18808-Ljbffr The-Misch-Group
