Mainframe Systems Engineer, Senior

Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer, contingent upon award of the associated work. This position will be based in Charleston, SC.The Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer is responsible for analyzing, planning, designing, and documenting application installation and operations within z/OS-based mainframe Business Information Systems (BIS). This role leads infrastructure planning, application support, infrastructure analysis and assessment, and infrastructure testing and troubleshooting activities supporting the Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS). Key Responsibilities:Lead engineering and operational support of z/OS-based mainframe environments.Integrate Software AG Natural/CICS applications into z/OS environments.Perform infrastructure analysis, assessment, testing, and troubleshooting.Support mainframe production control and batch job operations.Provide performance tuning and security configuration analysis.Support ADABAS database engineering and operational activities.Develop operational and system-level architecture views.Support engineering efforts aligned with MCAAP or other RMF implementations.Provide technical input and documentation to support sustainment activities.Desired Experience: 10+ years engineering and operating z/OS-based mainframe Business Information Systems.5+ years integrating Software AG Natural/CICS applications into z/OS environments.2+ years engineering systems within MCAAP or other Risk Management Framework implementations.Experience in concept exploration, requirements definition, systems design, integration testing, and evaluation within complex environments.Experience developing operational and system-level architecture views.Minimum Certifications: IAT Level II baseline certification required.Security Requirements: U.S. Citizen.Active Secret clearance required.Imagine One offers a full package of benefits and competitive salary, excellent group medical, vision, and dental programs. 401K savings plan; $4K annual tuition reimbursement ($5K if pursuing master’s degree); employee training, development, and education programs; profit sharing; advancement opportunities; and much more!ISO 9001:2015, ISO 20000-1:2018, ISO 27001:2022CMMI Development and Services - Maturity Level 3CMMC Level 2 (C3PAO)An Employee-Owned BusinessEEO/Vets/Disabled
