Azure Local Lifecycle Consultant – Dell AX Infrastructure

Position Overview

The Azure Local Lifecycle Consultant will support the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of lifecycle-management activities across Dell AX infrastructure and Microsoft Azure Local environments.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of Azure Local, Dell integrated systems, platform upgrades, interoperability, version alignment, and multi-vendor coordination. The consultant will help ensure infrastructure platforms remain supported, current, secure, and aligned with future Microsoft Azure capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Azure Local Lifecycle Management

• Own and support lifecycle-management activities across Dell AX platforms running Microsoft Azure Local.
• Plan and coordinate Azure Local upgrades, updates, maintenance, and version transitions.
• Manage lifecycle activities for deployed Dell AX infrastructure.
• Evaluate compatibility between Dell AX systems and Microsoft Azure Local releases.
• Track platform dependencies, version requirements, and supportability considerations.

Platform Compatibility and Interoperability

• Maintain alignment between Dell AX hardware, firmware, drivers, operating systems, and Azure Local software releases.
• Develop and maintain support matrices covering validated Azure Local versions and Dell product configurations.
• Identify lifecycle risks, support gaps, version dependencies, and compatibility issues.
• Support interoperability testing and release-readiness activities.
• Assess the impact of future Microsoft Azure enhancements on Dell-supported solutions.

Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with Microsoft, Dell, and other technology vendors on integration and support requirements.
• Engage vendor support teams to resolve technical issues and clarify platform compatibility.
• Provide technical guidance on lifecycle planning, interoperability, and supportability.
• Communicate recommendations, risks, and upgrade requirements to technical and program stakeholders.

Documentation and Operational Support

• Develop, maintain, and improve upgrade runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
• Document repeatable processes for Azure Local upgrades and update execution.
• Maintain configuration, support, and version-alignment records.
• Support change planning, testing, release management, and adoption of new platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Local lifecycle management.
• Strong technical knowledge of Dell AX systems supporting Azure Local.
• Experience working with hyperconverged infrastructure, integrated systems, or hybrid cloud platforms.
• Understanding of Azure Local architecture, releases, versioning, and platform supportability.
• Experience coordinating upgrades, maintenance, interoperability testing, and lifecycle activities.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including upgrade procedures, operational guides, and support matrices.
• Experience evaluating compatibility across hardware platforms, firmware, drivers, operating systems, and software releases.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives through completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dell integrated systems or hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft lifecycle guidance, release management, and platform-validation processes.
• Experience engaging directly with Microsoft, Dell, OEM, and third-party vendor support teams.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise infrastructure modernization.
• Experience supporting secure government, defense, or federal IT environments.
