Bond OpCo, LLC
Job Description
Job Description
Who We Are
BOND is a rapidly growing private aviation company revolutionizing fractional aircraft ownership and private aircraft management, delivering an elevated and seamless flying experience for discerning clients. Supported by a landmark Bombardier fleet order, we are building a modern fleet of late-model super-midsize and ultra-long-range aircraft and assembling a team committed to operational excellence, safety, and white-glove service.
As we scale toward launch and long-term growth, we are seeking professionals who want to help build a next-generation aviation company and play a meaningful role in shaping how it operates from the ground up.
Role Overview
The Chief Inspector is one of the most consequential roles in BOND's Maintenance organization — serving as the final authority for releasing every company aircraft to service. This position directs the Inspection Department, oversees the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS), manages RII authorization, and ensures every aircraft on BOND's certificate is maintained to the standard our members and the FAA expect.
The Chief Inspector works in close coordination with the Director of Maintenance, Director of Quality, the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC), and approved vendors — maintaining inspection standards, regulatory compliance, and documentation integrity across the fleet. This is a role that demands technical depth, regulatory fluency, and the leadership to build and maintain a culture of accuracy and accountability within the inspection organization.
What You'll Do
- Direct all inspection standards, methods, and procedures across BOND's maintenance organization and approved vendors — and serve as the final authority on every airworthiness release.
- Manage the RII Authorization Roster, issue one-time RII authorizations, and annually review the RII items list with the Director of Maintenance.
- Monitor FAA regulatory libraries monthly for new or revised Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins; evaluate applicability and coordinate AMOC requests to the South Florida FSDO when required.
- Operate and oversee the CASS data collection system; establish and maintain the annual internal audit schedule and sit as a voting member of the CASS Board.
- Review and approve vendor questionnaires, FAA certificates, quality manuals, and capability lists for prospective and renewing approved vendors.
- Review all incoming maintenance paperwork — log entries, work cards, FAA Form 8130, FAA Form 337, and Form 215 discrepancy sheets — and ensure correct completion.
- Serve as the primary trainer for maintenance personnel on Maintenance and Airworthiness Releases and on the documentation required to maintain fleet airworthiness.
Required Qualifications
- Current FAA mechanic certificate under 14 CFR Part 65 with Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience under Part 135 or Part 121, with at least 2 years in an inspection, quality control, or CASS oversight capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 119, and 135; manufacturer maintenance programs; Type Certificate Data Sheets; Airworthiness Directives; and Service Bulletins.
- Experience interacting with FAA FSDO personnel and supporting Operations Specifications activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to draft and review regulatory-quality maintenance documentation.
- Working knowledge of CAMP, CMP, or equivalent computer-based maintenance tracking systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Inspection Authorization (IA) issued under 14 CFR Part 65.
- Prior service as Chief Inspector or Quality Control Manager at a Part 135 or Part 121 operator.
- Experience with Bombardier or Gulfstream aircraft types operated in Part 135 service.
- Experience administering RII programs and CASS internal audit schedules at a Part 135 air carrier.
- Proficiency with CAMP, Corridor, or equivalent maintenance management software.
Travel Requirements
Travel is required as necessary to support vendor audits, FAA surveillance, satellite base visits, AOG response, and accident or incident investigations.
