Job Description: Application Support Engineer - DevOps (3-5 Years)
Role Summary
We are looking for an
with 3-5 years of experience in supporting, deploying, and maintaining Java-based enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in application deployment, release management, troubleshooting, and production support within DevOps-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support Java-based applications across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor application performance, availability, and health to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshoot application, deployment, and environment-related issues, and drive timely resolution.
- Support CI/CD processes and release management activities using DevOps tools.
- Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams during deployments and production incidents.
- Analyze application logs, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform application validation and post-deployment health checks.
- Support production environment operations, change management, and incident management processes.
- Participate in application upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in Application Support, DevOps, or Production Support roles.
- Strong experience in deploying and supporting Java/J2EE-based applications .
- Good understanding of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, or WebSphere .
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms .
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting.
- Experience in log analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or AppDynamics.
- Experience working in enterprise production support and service management environments.
