CNC Machinist – Lead AGC Heat Transfer Bristow, VA $35.00 – $37.00 per hour Position Summary AGC Heat Transfer is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist with 5+ years of machine shop experience to support the implementation of new equipment, lead and mentor operators, and ensure high‑quality production of precision parts. This is a hands‑on leadership role that blends technical expertise with coaching and team development. We are a company that: Values honesty, trust, and transparency Cares deeply about people and the environment Encourages curiosity and innovation Pursues continuous improvement Prioritizes safety, quality, and teamwork Recognizes goal‑driven individuals who deliver results Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Haas CNC Mills and Lathes Troubleshoot machine alarms and resolve issues Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T Adjust machine offsets and parameters to maintain tight tolerances Train and mentor CNC operators on setup, production, and quality standards Collaborate with programmers to validate setup sheets and CNC programs Develop and improve work instructions for machine setup and operation Perform first‑article and in‑process inspections Conduct basic machine maintenance Read and interpret G‑Code Support additional production tasks as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred) 5+ years of CNC machining experience Strong leadership mindset with a passion for teaching and mentoring Solid math skills (feeds/speeds, geometry, trigonometry) Ability to read complex drawings and apply tolerances/GD&T Experience using precision measuring tools Strong communication skills and reliable attendance Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment Ability to operate material‑handling equipment Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs Strong visual acuity for detailed inspections Steady hand‑eye coordination for precision measurement Ability to sit periodically for data entry and inspections Compensation & Benefits $35.00 – $37.00 per hour Health insurance with HSA option (if eligible) Dental and vision coverage Life and disability insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Wellness program Ready to Make an Impact?
