About the role:
My Arcade, the industry leader in retro video gaming, is looking for a talented Packaging/Graphic Designer to join our award-winning design team in Torrance, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing a broad range of packaging for video game accessories and consumer electronics. This position is focused on consumer packaging design, artwork and illustration, product photography and video, and includes print graphics, web content, print advertising, trade show graphics and marketing materials. Candidates with lifestyle photography experience are highly encouraged. This position will report to the Art Director and will be based onsite at our Torrance, CA office.

We are a small, tight-knit team where you can make a meaningful contribution, while learning and growing.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in design, art, or related field

· 5+ years of consumer packaging design experience

· Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Creative Cloud

· Conceptualize, develop and create illustrations and technical drawings for new and current packaging of consumer electronic products

· Create production-ready packaging die-lines, catalogs and marketing materials

· Construct mock-up models of packaging concepts

· Photographing product (both light box and lifestyle) and skilled in editing images for final use

· Flexible, positive attitude, and open to refining designs based on feedback

· Able to work under tight deadlines in a busy, fast-paced, quick-turnaround environment

· Web design experience a plus

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Passion for video games and consumer electronics

 

Compensation:

• $50k-75k salary or hourly rate commensurate with skills and experience
