Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - One year experience in an acute health care setting preferred. - One year experience in acute rehabilitation care setting preferred. License: - CA-RN Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - PALS preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience. - Patient ratio experience: 5. Description: The Registered Nurse in the acute care setting manages the patient and family experience through the utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment. Provides indirect and direct care to patients ranging in age from infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adults to geriatrics. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families. Responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and directing the activities of ancillary staff. Delivers comprehensive nursing care to patients in collaboration with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services. Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients from admission to discharge using established nursing processes and documentation.
