Sales Associate

Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging and helping them efficiently. Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations. Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and turn returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management, reporting merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner. Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, supporting a positive and productive work environment. Qualifications At least 16 years old. Available to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts. Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and handheld devices. Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers. Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally. Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Frequently operate the cash register. Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5–10 feet. Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor. Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers. Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, and to and from the stock room to retrieve and put away merchandise. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required. Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
