Hospice Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem work in Gastonia/Lincoln. Responsibilities Apply nursing theories and concepts to patient care. Document care to meet reimbursement guidelines. Coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel. Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and quality reviews. Qualifications Current RN licensure in the practicing state. Graduated from an approved nursing program. At least two years of clinical nursing experience, with one year in hospice preferred. Knowledge of home health and hospice care organization and nurse roles. Understanding of nursing practice act, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines. 12 hours of annual continuing education. CPR certification. Willingness to travel and participate in weekend, evening, and holiday call duties.
