Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System.

Additional Details:

You must generally be very flexible.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and telemetry.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - General medical-surgical unit with COVID and TB patients; all negative pressure rooms. - Block patient assignments/high-acuity patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - This unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules. Travelers can either work alternating 3x12s and 4x12’s every other week, or they can work straight 4x12’s. - Weekends required. - No on-call. - At least 2 of 3 holidays required. - Mardi Gras discussed with manager.

Special Requests: - RTO <5 days or add time to end of the contract.

Floating Requirements: - You must be willing to float.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
