Welder - Dustpan Dredge

Dredge Welder PositionDredge Welder position on a dredge operating on the lower Mississippi River. Primary dredging season is spent between Baton Rouge, LA and New Orleans, LA, with winter maintenance in Memphis, TN. Successful applicant must be available for consistent duty and will report primarily from Memphis, TN south.Welder must have experience working as a welder in a marine environment. The position involves severe duty marine conditions, including inclement weather. Welder must communicate and work well with others, including tender boat and dredge personnel, and must have safe work experience and be familiar with recognizing and mitigating hazards in the workplace. Welder must have a good understanding of, and the ability to perform, maintenance and repair welding as well as fabrication in a difficult outdoor and marine environment, including welding overhead and on or in pipe.Position reports daily on the dredge and includes either nights or days, with some shift rotation. The schedule includes days, nights, weekends and time off. A typical hitch is a 12 hour shift for 14 days straight, followed by 7 days off.Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel offers a competitive benefit package with employer participation, including health, dental, vision and life insurance.
