Senior Manager, Global Revenue Technical Accounting

Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Senior Manager position overseeing revenue recognition evaluations and technical accounting for a global biotechnology company. Requires 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in pharmaceutical or life science settings, with public accounting background and ASC 606 expertise.

Responsibilities

Evaluate revenue recognition under ASC 606 for new product launches and contracts
Review agreements and gross-to-net matters; ensure consistent application across teams
Document revenue and gross-to-net accounting policies with international and North America teams
Partner with cross-functional teams supporting contract development and financial reporting
Prepare revenue-related SEC disclosures and support quarterly audits with memos and schedules

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years progressive accounting experience in pharmaceutical/life science revenue or technical accounting
Public accounting experience required
CPA credential preferred
ASC 606 and US GAAP revenue accounting knowledge
Strong written communication and complex analysis presentation skills

Compensation: $128,900 - $193,300 base
