Apply today!**About the role**As a **Back Plant Operator,** you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations of industrial systems and equipment associated with Covanta’s industrial disposal process.## **Position Responsibilities:*** Perform assigned operational tasks and inspections utilizing various types of designated industrial equipment and hand/power tools* Complete routine inspections of assigned equipment and document details in accordance with facility procedures* Troubleshoot assigned equipment and responsibly report issues and repair requests utilizing defined work order processes and procedures* Utilize weekly activity books and critical items checklist to perform operational and equipment related function checks* Safely perform lock-out/tag-out processes of equipment in support of assigned maintenance teams* Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations## ## **Position Requirements & Qualifications:*** High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred* Valid driver’s license* Must have experience operating heavy industrial equipment* Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule## **Total Rewards & Compensation:*** Competitive Base Salary* Day one employee benefits: competitive health insurance options, PTO, retirement savings plan and 401K match**Physical Demands of the Role:*** Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb* Ability to lift/carry 50lbs* Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces* Qualify to wear a full-face respirator* Consistently work in various weather conditionsAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.**Pay Transparency**This role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
