Associate Veterinarian

We are looking for a mixed animal veterinarian in Franklin County, Texas who can work independently across multiple species.

This is a mixed animal practice in a smaller, warm and friendly community with a client base that is appreciative of your efforts. The practice has Cornerstone Practice Management, new Idexx lab, new digital X-Ray and is renovating the grooming and boarding facilities. The practice prides itself on being open and honest with clients about prognosis and cost. We are looking for someone to work Monday through Friday with some sporadic rural weekend calls. Clients include cattle producers, ranch owners and public school teachers. The practice is 1.5 hours from the Dallas Metroplex. New clients are bring drawn to the practice due to the outstanding reputation of the practice.

Qualifications include a veterinarian with a valid license in good standing in the state of Texas, current DEA registration, knowledge of principles, theories and practice of veterinary medicine and science, ability to perform veterinary surgery in a safe, accurate and healthy manner, must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving and time management skills. A commitment to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and commitment to the practice is needed along with strong communication and computer skills.
