In-Coming Inspector

In-Coming Inspector 4mo Contract to Perm Southbridge

Must have:

• Clean room wearing full bunny suit
• Blueprint experience
• Microscope experience
• Inspection tools verniers, micrometers, pin gauges, comparators etc.
• Excellent computer skills- Word and Excel

Responsibilities:

• Inspect all incoming materials to verify compliance within stated parameters
• Accurately perform all necessary database and MRP transactions
• Log and record inspection results
• Notify appropriate Engineering personnel when materials are found to be out of specification
• Complete MRP form should be MRD form
• Move inspected parts to appropriate stock room or appropriate production area
• Perform thorough and accurate stock room cycle counts and note discrepancies as directed
• Utilize internal dispatch system to create kits for manufacturing ensuring accuracy and avoiding production downtime
• Perform in-process and final inspection ensuring compliance with specifications and verifying piece counts are accurate.
• Track glass Kanban

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Prior incoming and materials inspection experience preferred with understanding of Lean manufacturing.
• Proficiency (5 - 7 years minimum recent experience) with reading blue prints and schematics and managing documentation; ability to follow computer generated work orders.
• Ability to use inspection tools (pin gauges, verniers, micrometers, etc.)
• Ability to use inspection equipment (comparators, scales, machinist scope, surface detectors, microscopes, etc.)
• Kitting experience preferred but not required
• Computer Skills: Intermediate to expert computer skills required, including Word, Excel, MRP and database software applications;
