Shipping Clerk - 1st Shift
Location: Carol Stream
Employment Type: Contract / Temporary 
Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Schedule and Hours: Onsite Monday through Friday, 7a to 330p

You'll be the backbone of our shipping and receiving process, ensuring accurate, safe, and timely handling of shipments. What You'll Do:

• Drive and operate company vehicles, including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Assist with inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely
• Maintain accurate inventory records using company software
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders, ensuring zero damages and discrepancies
• Prepare items for return shipments and complete necessary paperwork
• Uphold a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment
• Proven ability to manage documentation and inventory processes
• Strong team player with excellent attendance and reliability
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Knowledge of inventory management software and checklists
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in a warehouse setting

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Prior experience in a shipping or warehouse role preferred
• Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation highly desired

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work in a loud environment and handle physical demands involved in warehouse work
• Valid certifications for forklift operation a plus
